Ingredients:
8 cups water
4 oz ground coffee
4 oz brown sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
3 cloves, whole
1 square of semi-sweet chocolate
Preparation:
Boil water in a saucepan, then add cinnamon, cloves, sugar and chocolate. When the mixture comes to a boil, skim off foam. Reduce the heat to a simmer, then add coffee. Steep for 5 minutes then serve.

1 1/2 cup boiling water
Preparation:

Black GoldBlack Gold- Now this is quite a coffee cocktail. You'll need a stocked bar to make Black Gold. Five different spirits make for a powerful drink. It's a bit sweet with a nutty taste, thanks to the Amaretto and hazelnut liqueur. Ingredients: 4-4 1/2 oz coffee, hot 1/4 oz Triple Sec 1/4 oz Amaretto 1/4 oz Irish Cream 1/4 oz hazelnut liqueur Dash of cinnamon Schapps Preparation:
Stir all ingredients to combine and serve in a mug with whipped cream
Cafe BrulotCafe Brulot- 1 cup brandy 3 tablespoons sugar 1 teaspoon grated orange peel 1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel 6 whole cloves allspice 1 cinnamon stick 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 3 cups double-strength coffee Preparation: Have ready a heatproof serving bowl. Heat the brandy, sugar, orange, and lemon peel, cloves, allspice, cinnamon stick, and vanilla in a small saucepan over medium heat. DO NOT BOIL. Darken the room, and carefully ignite brandy (for safety's sake, you might perfer to ignite a metal latle of of the brandy mixture and add this to the serving bowl). Let the brandy burn for 60 seconds. Slowly pour hot coffee into the flaming brandy. Stir mixture. Serves 6
Almond Coffee CreamAlmond Coffee Cream- A bit of almond liqueur (like Amaretto) goes well with the hot cream and coffee. The perfect winter cocktail for those who like rich and creamy drinks. 3/4 cup hot coffee 1/4 cup heavy cream, scalded 1 shot of almond liqueur Preparation: Just combine the ingredients and serve. You can use almond extract instead of liqueur for a non-alcoholic version.

Cafe NeroCafe Nero- An unusual recipe, and you'll have to approximate the quantities for this coffee and Galliano cocktail. The flaming process makes this a dramatic cocktail for a party, though you might want to practice first. Ingredients: Galliano Sugar Lime juice Hot coffee Preparation: Rim a glass with sugar, then coat the inside of the glass with sugar and lime juice. Fill the glass halfway with Galliano and light it. Twirl the glass slowly to melt and caramelize the sugar. Fill the rest of the glass with hot coffee.
Cajun CoffeeCajun Coffee- Molasses will bring a strong and wonderful flavor to your cup of coffee, along with a dash of good Caribbean rum. Serve hot with whipped cream. Ingredients: 4 cups hot coffee 6 tbs molasses 7 tbs dark rum Whipped cream Preparation: Heat coffee and molasses in a saucepan until molasses is dissolved. Colonial CoffeeColonial Coffee- Kahlua and brandy make this a fine coffee cocktail to warm you up. Serve this after your next dinner party, to start a relaxing evening with friends. Ingredients: 6 cups hot coffee 3/4 cup Kahlua 1/3 cup brandy Whipped cream Cinnamon Preparation: Blend the coffee and liqueurs together and pour into 8 mugs. Top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

Danish CoffeeDanish Coffee You can really taste the rum in this one, great for a crowd. Simmering with spices for a few hours will build up the flavor of cinnamon and cloves. Ingredients: 8 1/2 cups hot coffee 1 cup dark rum 3/4 cup sugar 2 cinnamon sticks 12 cloves, whole Preparation: Heat everything through over low heat and simmer for about 2 hours.

Hot Buttered CoffeeHot Buttered Coffee- 1 teaspoon unsalted butter
1 teaspoon brown sugar
6 ounces freshly brewed Jamaican coffee, steaming
1 whole clove
1 tablespoon dark rum
1/8 teaspoon grated nutmeg Put butter in an Irish coffee glass or mug, then pour in the steaming coffee. Add brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Add clove and rum. Dust with nutmeg.
Irish CoffeeIrish Coffee- You can't go wrong with this simple but classic recipe for Irish coffee. It's usually served with a thick dollop of whipped cream on top. Ingredients: 1 1/2 cup hot coffee 1 1/2 oz Irish whisky 1 tbs sugar Preparation: Mix together in a mug and top with whipped cream, if desired.
Irish FantasyIrish Fantasy- This Irish cream coffee cocktail recipe whips up fast, using instant coffee. A bit of cocoa also makes it a bit creamier too. Jamaican Coffee -
Tia Maria is always a fine addition to a cup of coffee, to add even more coffee flavour and a bit of vanilla sweetness. And a good shot of Jamaican rum doesn't hurt either. Topped with freshly whipped cream. Ingrediants: 5 cups hot coffee 60ml Tia Maria 30ml white rum 150ml thick cream, lightly whipped Preparation: Mix the coffee and liqueurs in a saucepan and heat through. Serve into brandy glasses and topped with cream.

Keoki CoffeeKeoki Coffee- Brandy and Kahlua blend smoothly in this coffee cocktail recipe. This is a very simple recipe, with a taste you'll remember. Ingredients: 1 cup hot coffee 1 oz Kahlua 1/2 oz brandy Whipped cream Preparation: Mix together in a mug and top with whipped cream, if desired.

Orleans CoffeeOrleans Coffee- A flaming coffee drink that will impress at a party. Maybe a little too showy for your typical morning coffee, but a wonderful spiced recipe when serving coffee cocktails for a crowd. Ingredients: 1 cup coffee 1 orange 5 tbs cognac 5 tbs Benedictine 1 tsp brown sugar 3 cloves, whole Preparation: Strip off a large piece of orange zest, and poke the cloves into it. Place in the bottom of a mug, with the brown sugar. In a saucepan, mix the cognac and Benedictine and heat through. Light the alcohol and pour (flaming) into the mug. Fill mug with coffee and serve.
Praline CoffeePraline Coffee- Creamy and sweet like hot cocoa, but this coffee cocktail is flavoured with praline liquor. The spirits give it the taste of candied nuts. Ingredients: 3 cups hot coffee 3/4 half n half 3/4 cup brown sugar 2 tbs butter 3/4 praline liqueur Preparation: Combine everything but the praline liqueur and heat through, until sugar dissolves. Add liqueur and serve.

Orange Coffee CocktailOrange Coffee Cocktail Add a little citrus zest to your cup, with some orange vodka. You might be surprised at how well orange blends with coffee. It's both tangy and mellow. Ingredients: 1 cup of coffee 1 1/2 shots of Kahlua 1 shot of orange vodka (such as Absolut's mandarin) Preparation: Stir coffee, Kahlua and vodka together in a mug or glass. Top with whipped cream, if desired.
Spanish Coffee Spanish Coffee- Tia Maria, rum and coffee. Nice and easy. The Tia Maria gives this cocktail some added coffee flavor. You can use light or dark rum, depending on your taste. Ingredients: 1/2 oz Tia Maria 1/2 oz rum 1 cup hot coffee Preparation: Mix and serve with whipped cream.

Vermont CoffeeVermont Coffee- Maple syrup and rum gives this drink a taste of the outdoors. Vermont does have some of the best maple syrup around, though Canadian maple syrup is in a class by itself. Ingredients: 1 oz light cream 1 oz maple syrup 2 oz dark rum 6 oz hot coffee Preparation: Combine in a mug, and enjoy.

Amaretto Iced CoffeeAmaretto Iced Coffee- Creamy enough to be a milkshake, but with the smooth almond flavor of Amaretto. What could possibly go better with an afternoon of BBQ. Ingredients: 3 cups coffee, cold 2 cups vanilla ice cream 1 cup milk 1/4 cup Amaretto 2 tsp vanilla 1 tsp almond extract Crushed ice Preparation: Combine everything except ice in a blender and whip until smooth. Fill glasses half full with crushed ice, and fill the rest with coffee mixture.

Hard Coffee SodaHard Coffee Soda- A chocolate and coffee milkshake, with light rum. The perfect treat to serve when outside, firing up the grill. It will keep you cool on even the hottest day. Ingredients: 1 pint chocolate ice cream 5 scoops vanilla ice cream 1/2 cup light rum 2 tbs finely ground coffee Instant coffee crystals Preparation: Mix everything except the instant coffee together in a blender. Serve topped with a sprinkle of coffee crystals.
Iced Jamaican CoffeeIced Jamaican Coffee- An iced version of the popular Jamaican coffee cocktail. It's a nicely creamy iced coffee, with the smooth warmth of dark rum and Tia Maria. Ingredients: 1 oz dark rum 1 oz Tia Maria 3/4 oz heavy cream 4 oz chilled coffee Crushed ice Preparation: Combine liqueurs, coffee and cream. Partially fill a wine glass with crushed ice, and pour mixture over ice.
Muddy RiverMuddy River- A coffee brandy beverage with a bit of cream. If you can't find coffee-flavoured brandy, then mix equal parts regular brandy and freshly brewed coffee. Ingredients: 1 1/4 oz coffee brandy 3 oz half-n-half 4 oz crushed ice Preparation: Shake everything together and serve cold.
MudslideMudslide- A couple shots of Kahlua mixed with vanilla ice cream. The Kahlua adds the coffee flavor, and the vodka adds a bit of something extra. Try vanilla vodka for a sweet touch. Ingredients: 1 oz vodka 1 oz Bailey's Irish Cream 1 oz Kahlua Vanilla ice cream Preparation: Blend until smooth, and serve.

Wine Coffee Froth Wine Coffee Froth- An unusual mix of Muscatel wine and coffee, in a chilled glass. The sweet wine makes this a nice drink to have after dinner along with some dessert. Ingredients: 1 cup cold coffee 2 oz Muscatel wine 2 tsp sugar 1/2 tsp grated orange peel Pinch of cinnamon Preparation: Whip all ingredients until foamy and smooth. Serve in chilled glasses over ice.

Sassy SodaSassy Soda- A double-whammy with coffee ice cream and coffee. A wee touch of rum too. This potent shake will help keep the hot summer doldrums away. Ingredients: 1 pint coffee ice cream 2 tbs ground coffee 1/2 cup light rum 4-6 scoops vanilla ice cream Preparation: Blend coffee ice cream, coffee and rum in a blender until smooth. Pour into tall glasses, and top with a scoop of vanilla.

GluhweinGluhwein- A holiday favorite, mulled tea with red wine. A bit of spicy cloves and cinnamon make this a very sophisticated hot tea cocktail. An alternative to mulled cider. Ingredients: 250 ml strong tea 75 ml sugar 500 ml red wine 5 ml ground cloves 1 cinnamon stick Rind of 1 lemon Preparation: Boil the tea, lemon rind, sugar, cinnamon and cloves together until the sugar dissolves. Add the red wine and bring to a boil. Strain out cinnamon stick and the rind. You may need to add more sugar, to taste. Serve with a slice of lemon. Serves 5
Green Tea TokyoGreen Tea Tokyo- A minty green tea beverage, with white rum. Not too complicated a cocktail, but strong enough to suit any taste. Cook Time: 10 minutes Ingredients: 2 oz white rum 1 tbsp honey 5 sprigs of mint 2 tbsp sugar syrup (see link below) 6 oz hot green tea Preparation: Combine ingredients in a mug, and serve. If you want to strain out the mint, let it sit for 2-3 minutes before removing the sprigs.
Hot Tea GrogHot Tea Grog- A spicy tea drink with cloves, rum and cognac. The brewed clove flavour and dark rum make this a bit of an exotic-tasting cocktail that is a big change from your same old cocktails. Ingredients: 1 oz cognac 1 oz dark rum 1 cup brewed tea Several cloves 1/2 tsp honey Pinch of nutmeg Preparation: Heat tea and other ingredients together in a saucepan. Serve hot with a cinnamon stick.
Irish TeaIrish Tea- There's Irish coffee, so why not Irish tea? And yes, it's just as simple with just some freshly brewed hot tea and a shot of good Irish whiskey. Ingredients: 1 tbs loose tea, or 1 tea bag 1 oz whisky 1 oz milk or cream 1 tsp sugar Preparation: Brew tea in hot water for 3-5 minutes, then strain out tea. Add whiskey and other ingredients, and then serve.
Jaeger TeaJaeger Tea- A simple cocktail with Schnapps, rum and a bit of orange juice. Though most of the flavor comes from the Schnapps and rum, you can really taste the addition of the black tea. Ingredients: 3 oz Schnapps 3 oz rum 6 oz water Juice from one orange 1 tea bag (black) Preparation: Heat ingredients together in a saucepan until boiling. Let simmer for 5 minutes, and serve. Sugar to taste.
Tea FrogTea Frog- It's not green, just a cup of tea with gin. I wonder if anyone knows why this cocktail is called a frog? Ingredients: 1 tbs loose tea, or 1 tea bag 1 oz gin 1 tbs lemon juice 1 cup water Preparation: Brew tea in hot water for 3-5 minutes, then strain out tea. Add gin and lemon, then serve.

Ingredients:
6 oz hot coffee
2 tbs chocolate syrup
1 tbs maraschino cherry juice
Whipped cream
Chocolate shavings
Maraschino cherries
Preparation:
In a mug, mix coffee, syrup and cherry juice. Stir well then top with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and cherries. Serves 1

Coconut Milk Coffee
A thick and tropical coffee recipe, using an entire coconut (both the milk and the tasty meat). This exotic coffee drink deserves a little paper umbrella.
Ingredients:
1 whole coconut
2 cups milk
4 cups strong coffee
1 tbs sugar
Preparation:
Punch 2 holes in the coconut and drain the liquid into a small saucepan. Bake the coconut in the oven (300F) for about half an hour. Use a hammer to break open the coconut, and scrape out the white coconut meat. Mince finely. Add the meat and milk to the liquid in your saucepan. Heat over low until thickened and creamy. Strain out the coconut pieces. Add hot coconut milk to coffee and sugar. Serve. Serves 8
White Chocolate Coffee
You don't always have to use dark chocolate when making cocoa. Hot chocolate made with white chocolate is particularly relaxing and smooth. This is a very creamy recipe.
Ingredients:
3 oz white chocolate, chopped
2 cups half n half
2 cups hot coffee
Whipped cream
Preparation:
Heat the milk and chocolate together in a saucepan until melted and smooth. Stir in coffee and serve with whipped cream on top. Serves 6
Maple Coffee
Heavy on the maple syrup for this cream and coffee drink. Fresh local maple syrup at the beginning of spring is better than your regular supermarket syrup.
Ingredients:
1 cup hot coffee
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 cup half & half
Whipped cream
Preparation:
Heat the milk and syrup together in a saucepan, but do not let it boil. Stir in the coffee. Serve topped with whipped cream. Serves 2
